Only so much can be said about a flash drive, I know, but this model in particular has served me well and sometimes everyone runs into a product where you think "okay, I'll always be comfortable with this" and can't think of any real reason to go elsewhere.
Small size, good capacity and a fair price in the 8GB form considering it's from a major brand. Though I know there's no particular logical reason to do this, but I've always been one to get accessories for things of the same brand as the parent device, being my HP PC in this case and I was glad to see a competitive price. Speed is what it can be with the limitations of USB, and it's happy to work between different devices and hold whatever data in whatever format. This is more than able to hold personal info and sensitive information along with digital valuables like pictures or video clips in a secure place like a home safe or deposit box. The only reason I give a 4/5 on ease of use is because of its frustrating cap which is a tad smaller than others, but if yours is primarily for mid to long-term storage and not continuous repeated daily use it shouldn't come up.
