I bought this drive mainly because the price was ridiculous - $89.99 for a 1Tb drive?! when did memory become so cheap! my expectations were normal, another external drive, albeit larger capacity. I am a stickler for backing up files, this is my 6th external hard drive. After attaching the drive to my laptop, i was amazed at how quiet this drive is - I had to double check to see if the LED was on. no clicking, ticking, humming. amazing. I triple partitioned the drive, M:, N:, O:, put my work on M, personal on N, and media on O. the speed was fast, no issues. it is so quiet, i could hear my macbook's hard drive more than this Seagate. love it.Get more detail about Seagate 1 TB USB 2.0 External Desktop Hard Drive ST310005EXA101-RK (Black).
