Plugged it in, Asus 1005HA Netbook recognized it and loaded Office in 3 minutes. The drive is fast. No need to load any of the software it came with.
There is only one thing I wish Asus would do and that is make this drive in a few optional colors. Not a big deal really, black goes with any thing right! But a matching Blue would look great with my netbook.
A good investment.

I think it is deceptive for the manufacturer to claim on the product page that you can burn movie DVDs on this device. Sure you can -- I suppose -- if you shell out for additional software. The software that comes with the machine is not fully featured. You have to "upgrade" it to get that feature. Since it's the main feature I bought the thing for, I am extremely displeased and feel ripped off.
