I bought this because I wanted to have a way to keep my files secure on my person at all times. This definitely does that - all I have to keep are my various pictures and my papers and notes for class, and this stores all that with way too much room left over. I added a bail to the top of the device so I can wear it as a necklace - which was the point of getting this - I wear it at all times. I make a backup on another drive that I don't carry around, but the main copy is with me.
