Purchased this as a backup for my AV equipment and it serves the purpose well. The unit from Amazon however was defective. It required several calls to APC customer service to troubleshoot it and finally to have them ship a replacement unit. Although this was a hassle, the bottom line is that their customer service is great. There was no waiting on the phone line; toll free number was provided and I spoke with unaccented Americans who knew what they were doing.
