This is how wireless products should be made. Simple, easy to install, and it just works. After installing the drivers via included CD-ROM and plugging the wireless USB in everything just clicked and I was up and running in about 3-5 minutes. Super easy install.
The reason I bought the TRENDnet 300Mbps Wireless N USB Adapter was because on my home network I have an old laptop that has a built-in wireless card that is 802.11b that doesn't support the WPA-PSK network authentication format (and I couldn't find updated drivers anywhere online for the built in card). I needed this format as I recently switched to AT&T Uverse for my cable / internet and their RGA (the box they use for wireless internet and your cable signal) encryption is in WPA-PSK. I could have gone into advanced settings in the RGA to change it to WEP but for under $30 I could get a super fast wireless connection that uses better encryption. Also, I use the old laptop as an automatic backup of important files (files backed up in triple) on my main laptop and for also keeping some other files that I access via the network so a faster wireless connection was really desired. This USB adapter totally does the trick!
