Let's get this right out, this drive is fast, VERY fast. I'm getting sustained write speeds of 16-18 megs a second. That blows just about everything else out of the water. At 64 gigs, it's also huge. Physically, the drive is a bit large, about 50% larger than Sandisk's Cruzer Micro drives, however, this Corsair is also 5 times faster. When you're transferring 16 to 20 gigs at a time, the speed difference is vast.
Dislikes? There's no place to store the rubber end-cap, a great recipe for getting it lost. Also, the entire drive is made from thick rubber; it's great because it's virtually indestructible, it's not so great because it is an utter fuzz magnet. Take it out of your pocket and it's covered in dust, lint and that fuzzy pocket crap. Lastly, there are no external markings saying what the capacity is; therefore if you have several drives of different capacities, (say a 16gb and 32gb) there's no quick way to tell them apart. For the size and speed alone, though, these faults are easy to overlook.
Pros:
- Fastest Drive on the Market
- Huge Capacity
- Rugged Rubber Build
Cons:
- Slightly Large (not really a major issue)
- Annoying End-cap
- No External Markings Denoting its Capacity
- Fuzz Magnet!Get more detail about Corsair Flash Voyager GT 64 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive CMFUSB-64GBGT.
